The Clockwork Menagerie ~ Relaunched!

The Clockwork Menagerie has been relaunched!

The Clockwork Menagerie was my second most successful set to date, Exploratorium being the most successful.  My largest set, it's piece count barely makes it under the 3k limit at 2,999 Lego pieces.  As part of the Flight Works Series, it's designed as an opulent store front for selling high demand clockwork animals.  I've chosen to relaunch it after expiring early this year in the hopes that there are still many supporters who wish to see it come to life!

The Flight Works Series buildings are all designed to interconnect with one another when either open or closed to make a steampunk themed city street.  If you liked this project, you should deffinately go check it out!

The Flight Works Series

Flight Works

Flight Works was first submitted May of 2018.  Since then, I've created several projects based in the same world.  The modular buildings especially were designed to interlock with Flight Works in order to create a Steampunk themed city street.

Post Air

The first addition to the Flight Works Series was Post Air.  This was a small add-on of a Steampunk post office.  The challenge in this set was making a mundane service, like the mail, into something fun and interesting.  It has since expired, but was the set that changed Flight Works from a stand-alone project into a series.

The Clockwork Menagerie

After Post Air, I wanted to challenge myself more and created The Clockwork Menagerie.  Expanding on all the clockwork animals I had running around, I decided that there ought to be a store to sell them.  This design had a much more similar layout to Flight Works, but was intentionally made more opulent to show what a luxury item clockwork animals are.  The sets connect when both open and closed depending on your display preferences.  It has also expired, but I've been considering relaunching it.

The Orrery

The Orrery wasn't meant to be a stand-alone submission.  But, as work on Exploratorium dragged on, I decided to give it a chance to stand on its own merits.  This too has since expired.

Exploratorium

Exploratorium was my follow-up to The Clockwork Menagerie.  I originally planned on it being slightly smaller than its predecessor, but the project soon got away from me.  The premise was to create a research building focused on sea and sky.  It too was designed to connect with Flight Works and is the most successful set in the series to date.

Sunken Scrap

Sunken Scrap is a departure from the modular building format I used in the rest of the series.  Using characters from Exploratorium, the project crafts a Steampunk Adventure.  Future additions to the Flight Works Series will likely be based around the Alley King and his sidekick Allie Kat, a notorious invention thief.
