Contest Winners - Design a Virtual Floor for the LEGO Tower Game

With over 560 entries to the "Design a Virtual Floor for the LEGO Tower Game" contest, this has proven to be one of the most popular challenges we have held on LEGO Ideas to date! Thanks to all members who participated with all the incredible versions of their floor for this upcoming game.

The LEGO Games team as well as Nimblebit team found the following winners of this contest, whose builds will be integrated into the official game when it launches!

Winners

Bikeshop by CavemanBuilder

Judges comments:
We loved the amount of details which was put into this room. The room is busy, but everything fits together nicely. There is space for a counter, a repair shop, bikes on sale, spare parts, you name it! We loved the use of colors in the room. The way the radiator was built caught our eye and demonstrated really good use of LEGO elements. The floor was very relevant to the theme of the LEGO Tower game and it fits perfectly the overall look of the game.

Capsule Hotel by TOMOELL

Judges comments:
We loved the use of space in this floor. The way the shower, the greenery and the beds all fit together was inspiring. We loved the use of color to highlight parts of the floor. Like Bike Shop, Capsule Hotel fits very well with the theme of the contest and the LEGO Tower game. Minifigures do need a cozy, clean place to stay when they travel to LEGO Tower. Kudos to the creator coming up with a less common hotel idea though well suited to LEGO Tower.

Dinosaur Museum by Sokoda

Judges comments:
The brick built animal skeletons are awesome! We loved the muted colors used which clearly evokes the feeling of being in a museum. We loved use of elements in tiling of the floor and the detailing of the walls incl. informative signs, books and the necessary tools to work on the fossils and bones. The floor was also very relevant to the theme of the game and the overall look closely matched the look of the game. We appreciate the creator’s reference to museums worldwide.

Old Gold Mine by Uri Rom

Judges comments:
This floor evoked a story in our mind, and we loved that aspect of this floor. We can vividly picture us being part of the gold rush! The creative use of elements to create the door frame was also something that caught our attention. The combined use of colors and elements to depict a rough mine wall was impressive. We also liked the ‘out of box’ thinking of putting a mine into a high-rise building.

Inside a Pirate Ship by Speckhofer Enterprises

Judges comments:
The story element of this floor really stood out for us. Who would not want to feel a bit of a pirate’s life? The desk, the cannons and the flame torches evoked a clear picture of what we can expect when we travel to this floor. We loved the tiling on the floor. We loved the use of colors to clearly make it seem like the interior of a wooden ship. We also liked the ‘out of box’ thinking behind putting a ship interior playroom inside a high-rise building.

Monster Room by chainsaw yu 電鋸鋸鋸鋸

Judges comments:
The vivid use of colors really stood out for us. The creative use of the monster mouth to depict the door also impressive. We also liked the use of brick elements to create the face and outline of the monster which was very creative. By seeing the huge claws on the floor, mouth as the gate, and waves on the wall, a surprise factor to Tower residents is big with this floor.
