Baby, It's Cold Outside... not really
DID YOU KNOW... Gremlins was filmed mostly at Universal Studios and Warner Brother Studios. While the movie takes place during Christmas, all the snow was actually fake. The actors had to wear winter clothes under the hot California sun while filming outdoor scenes in the daytime.

Today is the 75th birthday of Gremlins director, Joe Dante! In addition to Gremlins 1 and 2, he directed some of my favorite films, including The Burbs, Small Soldiers, and Innerspace. Here's hoping he's having a blast today! Happy birthday, Joe!

Happy Thanksgiving!
DID YOU KNOW... Though it does get mentioned in Gremlins 2, Gizmo has never actually gotten his own Macy’s Thanksgiving parade balloon. However, the Gremlins do have their own parade float at Warner Bros Movie World in Australia. The float features a recreation of the kitchen from the movie, as well as a large Gizmo mascot.

DID YOU KNOW... While Gremlins was rushed for a Summer release date, the film's success brought audiences back to theaters in time for the holidays. To promote the film, a Santa Claus-inspired Gremlin was used for the marketing campaign.

Project UPDATE!
With the winter holidays coming up in a few months, I’m kicking off the next leg of our campaign for Gremlins with a new addition to the set. Say "hello" to Pete (Corey Feldman) in his Christmas tree costume!
While Pete isn't a LEGO minifigure, he will be in scale with the rest of the minifigs. I figured this mini build would be a fun way to pack in another fan-favorite character into the set. ᕲ(◕◡◕)ᕳ
