Congrats on having your 10K Club model displayed at the LEGO House

Dear LuisPG,

It has been with great pleasure that we had the opportunity to display your 10K Club project at the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark in the period 17th September to 8th October, 2018.

The display, held in conjunction with the 10 year annivesary of celebrating your creative ideas through LEGO CUUSOO and LEGO Ideas, was a celebration of the dedication and passion of our talented LEGO Ideas members from throughout the years.

To view all the models that were a part of the display and read more about each of the members who sent their models please visit the LEGO Ideas blog. You can also view additional images here

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate this very special community with us!

Kind regards,

The LEGO Ideas Team

LEGO Review Results for HMS Beagle

First and foremost, congratulations to LuisPG for reaching 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, and toward everyone for all of the support of the HMS Beagle project! The results of the LEGO Review are in and you can see full details on the LEGO Ideas Blog.

Review Results for HMS Beagle
Our team has thoroughly considered the possibility of releasing this project as a LEGO set according to the criteria of the LEGO Review. Unfortunately the LEGO Review Board has decided that we will not produce this project as a set.

Thank you to LuisPG for the passion and creativity that went into this project, and to all of you who voted so that we would have the opportunity to consider this as a potential LEGO set. We’re sorry to deliver this disappointing news.

How do we arrive at our decisions?
By gaining 10,000 supporters, a fan-submitted project moves from the Idea Stage to the Review Stage, where it earns the opportunity to be considered as a future LEGO® set in a process called the “LEGO Review.” Gaining 10,000 Supporters is just the first step in this process.

A "LEGO Review Board" composed of professional set designers, product managers, marketing representatives, and other key team members examine each qualified project. They build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product; including factors such as playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand. Every potential LEGO product, including those developed internally, goes through a similar process and must meet the same standards.

The amount of time this takes varies due to all the factors involved. Unfortunately, this process sometimes means that well-conceived projects that gain just-as-passionate followings have to be turned down. Please note that the LEGO Review Board makes all final decisions on which new sets the LEGO Group will release based on LEGO Ideas projects.

Congratulations on 10,000 supporters, LuisPG!

Dear LuisPG,

Congratulations on completing your long voyage to 10,000 supporters! What a great model that celebrates Charles Darwin's voyage and discoveries, driven by his curiosity of the natural world. We love all of the creativity you've put into your project, especially loved the little stories models that commemorate milestones of your supporter journey.

We now officially advance this project to the Review phase.

What happens now?

This project moves from the Idea stage to the Review stage. A "LEGO Review Board" composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members will examine the idea. We'll build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product. This includes factors such as playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand. Every potential LEGO product goes through a process like this and must meet the same standards.

The LEGO Review Begins in January

This project qualifies for the Third 2015 Review, which includes projects that reach 10,000 supporters between early September and early January. For more information about the LEGO review process, please see the Project Guidelines and House Rules.

The review is a thorough process and from its start, and can take several months. When finished, we make a "go/no go" decision to develop and sell a product based on the HMS Beagle.

When the review is complete, we will inform you of our decision. If green-lit, this project goes into the longest phase of the project; the Development phase. During this time, LEGO model designers refine the product and develop it for release, we create the product materials (box, instructions, marketing), and get everything ready for a production run. This also takes several months.

We will post follow-up information and our decision here.

Congratulations! Your project's deadline has been extended.

On April 15, we announced in a blog post that LEGO Ideas is extending the time limit for projects to reach 10,000 supporters. Because your project originally reached at least 1,000 supporters within its first year (365 days), we've automatically added 182 days to your countdown clock, from the date your project was originally posted. If your project has over 5,000 supporters at the time of this comment, you've earned an additional extension of 182 days! Note: since these extra days are based on your project's original post date (and not today's date), you may see less than the maximum possible days reflected on your countdown clock.

For more information, see the time limit section of the Project Guidelines and House Rules. We hope you enjoy the extra time to reach 10,000 supporters, and best of luck on your project's continued journey.

Congratulations on 5,000+ Supporters!

Because Science, that's why! What a beautiful ship, what a lovely idea! Now builders of all ages can journey to to parts unknown and unstudied to see what wonders await. You've made incredible progress with this project, now that you're in the final stretch, keep providing updates and encouragement to your supporters as you sail to new horizons!

Congratulations on 1,000 Supporters!

Welcome to the 1k Club! At this milestone, we’ve done a preliminary check with licensing regarding your project and see no known conflicts or issues. You have been green lighted to keep growing supporters; we will do a more detailed check if you reach 10,000 supporters and qualify for the LEGO Review. Keep up the good work!
