Special guests visit LEGO Ideas display at LEGO House

On Thursday the 27th September, LEGO House held a huge celebration together with Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) from around the world. The so called "AFOL Day" was opened with speeches from Jan Beyer (AFOL Network Events Manager), Jesper Vilstrup (General Manager - LEGO House), as well as, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen (Third-generation owner of the LEGO Group).

The hundreds of AFOLs gathered took great interest in the display and were very curious about the fan made 10K Club models that were on display, taking the time to see the models from all angles and snapping many photographs.

One fan of the displayed models was Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, who we were able to give a brief introduction of the display to.

Later in the day, several LEGO Designers were on hand in LEGO Square for a meet and greet session with AFOLs, who also had the chance to get their autographs. Representing LEGO Ideas were designers Niek van Slagmaat and Samuel Johnson (Voltron), Mike Psiaki and Carl Merriam (NASA Apollo Saturn V) as well as Adam Grabowski (Old Fishing Store).

If you haven't visited LEGO House yet to see the display, then you can still manage to do so before the 8th October, 2018. Not able to come to Billund? Then you can check them all out on the LEGO Ideas blog.
