2050!

Thank you for 2050 lovely supporters and for all your lovely feedback!
We are doing very good but - as natural - the number of supports has slowed down a bit, so please keep sharing the project so it has enough traction for the future until 10k as well :).
Have a lovely day/evening!

Over 1.5k supporters + the Frog has been officially added!

First of all, thank you for all the supporters, we are over the 1.5k mark! :)

Second of all I was finally able to update the project with the new pictures and have officially added the Green Frog to it, so we are all set for now! Please, in case you have any constructive criticism or idea on how to make this set even better, let me know and I am happy to double check everything. For now I am pretty happy about the set as is, and it looks lovely on my work desk - even if the colours are not as lovely as in the idea :).

Please keep sharing the project and comment on it if you want to add anything to keep it in the spotlight :). Thank you!

Happy Easter + over 1200 + big and small Lilies and Lilypads :)

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your continued support, we are over 1200 now :).

As promised, here is an update as I managed to build both small and large Lilies and small and large Lilypads by now. As before, the colours are quite all over the place, but for illustration purposes they are absolutely perfect - and all look lovely! :)

The next update will be about the Frog! Until then thank you for your support and kind words, and Happy Easter in case you celebrate it! :)

1.1k+ - a photo update of the finished large Water Lily and small Lilypad

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your continued support, it is a great feeling to know so many people would like this to become a real LEGO set!

As promised I've been working hard sourcing the parts required to build the frog and the lilies - and for now I've managed to build a large Water Lily!

The Lily is made up of tan and trans-blue pieces (and also two whites, as I did not manage to get 8 tan parts) and the Lilypad is just like on the set idea.

As you can see I decided to update the connecting pieces, as the originally proposed hoses are not very flexible despite the software showing they are... and the new part is NOT included in Stud.io so I manually had to add it, but it is not bendable at all in the software :/. So for now I only partially updated the set idea's file to indicate the change, but as you can see these would work IRL as intended and I can confirm the look lovely!

More updates to come once I manage to source the parts needed for the large Lilypads and the small Water Lilies - plus of course the Frog!

All the best, have a lovely Easter if you celebrate it!

1k! :)

I just wanted to do a quick update to thank everyone who supported this project so far - without you this simply wouldn't have happened, so THANK YOU! :)

As for the future: I am planning to do an update pretty soon when I finally have all the parts to at least build 1 of each of the Lilies/Lilypads and the Frog of course. The colours - as it can be expected - will be off as they are simply not available in the colours the set uses, but I just want to give you an idea how they would look like IRL and of course I also want to make sure the build is sturdy enough - I already started updating the hoses for tubes, but as they are officially not yet included in Studio and once you add them manually you can't bend them, this is not easy!

Also, I will update the project with the new renders that now include the Frog once the 30 days is up and I am able to edit my submission!

TLDR: In the meantime I am working in the background to make sure this would indeed be a lovely set - and THANK YOU guys, 1k on my first official LEGO Ideas project is really a dream coming true!

Almost at 900!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their support - it is great to know that you like my set idea and are happy to support it!
This makes me want to build even more great builds for you lovely people :). Getting feedback for your efforts is definitely worth all the work put into a project!

I am already working on my next idea - in fact, more than one :) -, please if you would like to see my future builds don't hesitate to follow me here on LEGO Ideas or on Rebrickable.

As for the Green Frog, once I am able to edit my submission, I will update the pictures and will officially add this little creature to my idea.
Until then I am working hard to source at least some of the pieces required for the Lilies and the frog as well to be able to try out how this set idea works in real life. If there is any modification needed I will obviously update the set to make sure it would not only be a beautiful, but also a great, satisfying building experience :).

And again: THANK YOU!

Welcome the Green Frog!

Based on some recommendations by some of you, lovely supporters, I decided to add a frog to my Water Lilies!
First of all I have to admit I am afraid of frogs since I was about 5 years old! But if most of you would prefer to see more life added to my product idea, I am happy to try to do so!
It took me a while to decide what type of frog to add to my display. At first I created a Tree Frog as that is quite colourful and looked amazing next to the Lilies.
But afterwards I realized that it might not be the best idea to include a type of frog that is arboreal, so lives on trees and not in ponds, even if pops colour-wise.
So after a bit back and forth I finally ended up with a simple Green Frog. The colours might not be as popping as with the Tree Frog, but I definitely tried my best to make sure it is still very visible, so I opted for a neon green colour.
All in all, please welcome the Green Frog!
