Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Snake, is one of the most important gods of aztec mythology because he created humanity, and that is what makes him the god of humanity. He is also the god of wind and he could bring rains to the region for the crops.

In this set I used different kinds of feathers and wings pieces to cover his body and simulate the feathers. This Quetzalcoatl has a body separated in seven different sections to add some mobility and change his position. The mouth is also articulated so can be opened and closed, and the wings can be moved too. In this set there also is a storm to show his powers of bringing rains and a small replica of the pyramid of Chichen Itza with some smalls trees to show Quetzalcoatl's big size in comparison with the pyramid. I made stairs to add some details to the pyramid.

I decided to create this set because I love mythology and I didn´t see many sets based on this theme, so I created my own set of one of my favourite myths. I chose that colour scheme (red and green) and put those details of the storm to make the built as accurate as possible to the myth and its historical representation. I tried to capture the essence of the myth in this small set with 595 pieces.

I think a set like this can make people learn about ancient culture and make them like mythology as much as I like it. In addition, due to the mobility of the Feathered Snake I think it is very playable, but it is also great to keep it as decoration because of its vivids colours. As a decoration it is very changeable due again to the articulated body.
