Canadair CL-215 - Water Bomber

Scale model of a Canadair CL-215, also known as "Scooper". This unique plane is a firefighter - it has the unique capability to land on water and fill its water tanks without slowing down. This allows it to turn around and fight large scale fires, such as forest fires with unparalelled efficiency. The plane originates from Canada but is in use around the world, including countries like Portugal, Italy, Spain and Greece.

The model is built to 1:48 scale. The main goal was accuracy, but it has a number of functions: it has retractable landing gears and working flaps as well. It has an accurately modeled underside as well.
