    Cessna-172 Skyhawk Seaplane

    What is it?

It is a Cessna 172 seaplane in a very small scale, a model for its size very detailed. The set has incredibly just 283 parts! I would recommend putting it in a display case. It has ridiculous dimensions from a quick look, but if you look carefully, you will notice that many of the shapes are very linear and very detailed. Since it is a seaplane, obviously I built the 2 floats, unfortunately the floats does not have the landing gear. I could not create the landing gear because of its size. But as already mentioned before, its lines are fantastic. I invented a hooking system for the floats; the set has these 2 cool functions: first, the plane has movable flaps in the wings (manually and they are not connected to each other) secondly the plane has 2 small movable rudders on the floats (while the plane would be in the water).
The plane has a livery very consistent with the context: the floats and the edges of the wings are blue and light blue that indicate the sea (curiosity: the floats look like whales lying upside down), instead to indicate the sun I put a yellow ochre stripe that starts from the engine and reaches the tail. The weight is about 177.5 grams.

    Why i build it?

    There are 2 motivations:

1*: I would really like something like this to enter the LEGO market.

2*: In LEGO there are not small scale airplane models (excluding the Three in One) I would like to do something like this like LEGO Speed champions cars: there are so many different types of scale cars why not do something like this in airplanes too?

    The Cessna 172:

The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a single-engine, four-seat, high-wing touring and training aircraft produced by the Cessna Aircraft Company in the United States since the 1950s and still in production. Probably the most famous trainer aircraft in the world, the Cessna 172 has been produced in greater numbers than any other aircraft ever built.
