Cairo Subway

Here is the Cairo Subway, Egypt.

"Greater Cairo" is served by three metro lines, with eighty-four kilometers of railway and sixty-eight stations, built in the 1980s, 1990s and 2010s. A project for three other lines is under study.
The metro is managed by the National Authority for Tunnels, and/or : Cairo Metro - The Egyptian Co. for Metro Management & Operation.

One of most populous city in Africa and the Arab world, Cairo has been faced with the growing need to equip itself with a mass transportation system since the 1950s. In 1987, its population of ten million inhabitants was increased by two million people working in Cairo during the day but not residing there.

I choose the metro of the second line for the aesthetic about the colors. I've hesitated with the first line opened in 1987. The second line opened in 1996.
This line is the one who deserve Giza site.

Alstom built the train of the first line, which is similar to the French RER or S-Bahn for the year 1987.
Trains of the second and third line was ordered in 1992 from a Japanese consortium (Mitsubishi, Kinki Sharyo, Toshiba), and put in service in 1996.
I don't know the model or code name of these subways.

I think it's an interesting way to learn about urbanism through the 20th century of a country.
I built this to complete the collection of old subway's around the world.
I think it would make a great Lego set because the metro is something everyday and having a miniaturized version would be super cool and really cute.

Thanks for your support.
