Unfortunately at the moment I have problems with the LEGO Digital Designer which keeps crashing after the last update. So if the pictures of this comic seem to look familiar to you, you're absolutely right. :-)
Instructions?
The time limit for all the original LEGO Cuusoo projects is approaching. Although Neuschwanstein castle has gathered a lot of support (thank you all for that) unfortunately there is the (ever so slight) possibility that the project won't make it... :-)
A lot of you have asked me for instructions to build the castle on their own. I still don't have them (just a digital model – and I can tell you it is difficult to build just based on that) but I will make an effort to produce something usable. That includes revising the model to split it up in several modules and then put together instructions for them. This can get a lot of work and I can't promise anything at the moment. Also I will consider asking for some reasonable amount of money for the instructions as a small compensation for my work (it will be definitely a lot less than the LEGO parts cost).
If you are interested in instructions: Send me an email at the address stated in the picture below and put "Neuschwanstein" in the subject. I will contact you then with any news in this regard. You can also bookmark my homepage www.thilo-schoen.de as I will put news there, too.
Of course I still would prefer a last minute run of supporters on the Ideas project! :-)
