Chairlift With Ski Slope

Hey everyone,

Since childhood, I’ve had one dream: to see a LEGO set of a ropeway. Sadly, even after 15 years of waiting, LEGO has yet to make it happen. That's why I decided to bring my vision to life and build my own. My hope is to inspire fellow LEGO enthusiasts, like you, to explore new and creative ideas as well. Given that LEGO has never released a chairlift model, I believe this concept would make a fantastic addition to their collection.

The model spans 140 cm in length, 28 cm in width, and 31 cm in height, making it a stunning display piece. It includes twelve minifigures, some of which require a closer look to appreciate all the details. The focal point of the scene is the working chairlift, featuring six gondolas. Beneath the lift, especially near the top, there's a small freestyle ski slope where a skier is mid-backflip, adding a dynamic touch. Surrounding the slope are trees inspired by @Bob_Brickman.

In the background, to the left, you’ll find a ticket shop and a control center. Tucked behind the bottom station is a LEGO Power Functions motor. The motor connects via chains under the baseplate, powering the lift's movement through the station’s horizontal wheel. Although the chairlift is fully functional, I had to simulate the rope with pneumatic hoses, as Bricklink Studio lacks an actual rope piece.

To give you a better understanding of how this works, I’ve included a video of a real-world version I assembled using parts from my collection. While the motor used is from a LEGO City train and required some gear adjustments to slow it down, I'm sure it runs more smoothly with a LEGO Power Functions motor in a later version.

Thank you so much for your support! ;-)
