The Hunger Games: District 12

This project is based on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the second installment in Suzanne Collins' trilogy. However, the included builds are featured throughout all the Hunger Games movies. This product idea focuses on iconic areas of District 12, the coal mining district. District 12 plays a critical role in the series, as it is the home of the protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, and symbolizes rebellion and hope.

I created this project because of the importance of District 12 throughout the series. Additionally, I'm a huge fan of the Hunger Games books and movies. This project would make a great set because of the ability to reenact various critical scenes and the inclusion of the series' most important characters.

The set includes a coal hopper car, the park of the Victors' Village and the Hall of Justice. The interior of the Hall of Justice is based on a scene in the first movie and includes different types of furniture. The Victors' Village includes a fountain, the entrance gate and a tree. The set also features a Mockingjay and Buttercup, the cat of Primrose Everdeen. This product idea includes above 2001 pieces and therefore includes 9 minifigures: Peacekeeper, Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorne, President Snow, Primrose Everdeen, Haymitch Abernathy and Effie Trinket.
