The Hunger Games: 5 Arenas is a display set featuring the 5 main arenas from the book series and movie franchise “The Hunger Games”. These arenas are the 10th, 50th, 74th, 75th and the unofficial 76th.
The set is split into 5 sections each consisting of one arena, with the idea that the centre of the build be the cornucopia. I replaced the actual cornucopias with the Mockingjay symbol as it makes a great centre piece to the build and ties the arenas together. There are a total of 24 pedestals in the build representing the number of tributes reaped for every standard Hunger Games.
I chose to create a set based on The Hunger Games as I’ve always been a fan of the books and movies, and always thought it would be cool to have the arenas built out of LEGO. I decided early on in the build process that is should be a display set that doesn’t include minifigures as I thought this was a more appropriate way of creating The Hunger Games in LEGO form, given the premise of the games and age of the tributes.

- Mockingjay symbol in centre rotates 360 degrees
- 10th Arena: Custom flag pieces, based on the ones seen in The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, and a hole in floor, which Lucy Gray used to hide
- 50th Arena: Hidden lava in the snow-capped mountain and double the number of pedestals
- 74th Arena: Smoke, which was created by Katniss' and Rue's fire to distract the Careers, and the remnants of dug up explosives that the Careers used to try and protect their supplies
- 76th Arena: Beginning of the tar flow and a Mockingjay symbol sticker
