Introduction
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is the second installment in Suzanne Collins' trilogy. The story picks up after Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark's dual victory in the 74th Hunger Games. As part of the Capitol's plan to reassert control, Katniss and Peeta are drawn into the 75th Hunger Games, also known as the Quarter Quell. Ultimately, Katniss and a handful of allies escape the arena, which marks a turning point. The destruction of the arena is both a literal and figurative breaking of the Capitol's control. 

The project
This product idea focuses on the arena of the 75th Hunger Games. It resembles a clock-like structure divided into 12 sections and 24 underground chambers for each tribute. The clock is set in motion by turning the lever on the side of the arena. Each district in Panem is in charge of a different resource. These resources are included in each of the numbered chambers, representing all 12 districts. In addition to the beach and palm trees, the project also features a hovercraft and the Cornucopia, which forms the centerpiece of the arena. Furthermore, it includes 7 minifigures:
  1. Peacekeeper
  2. Katniss Everdeen
  3. Peeta Mellark
  4. Beetee
  5. Johanna Mason
  6. Finnick Odair
  7. President Snow
I created the project because this iconic scene makes a perfect Lego set and I'm a huge fan of the Hunger Games books and movies. Therefore, I put a lot of effort into this project and created a custom background and designs. Since images speak louder than words, please take a closer look at the rendered pictures.
