My project is a model of the black hole called Gargantua, seen in the movie Interstellar by Christopher Nolan. I first wanted to build something from the classic space themes, but I don't find myself liking the spaceships that I built, so in the end, I decided to build a black hole. After watching Interstellar, I liked the design of the black hole from the movie, and that's where my idea came from.
This set consists of approximately 640 pieces. It is built on a square black stand, I tried to make it as simple as possible so that it will make the black hole pop out a little more. I used white plates to build the disc and transparent neon orange pieces to build the side of the disc. The black hole itself is built like a LEGO sphere, but I changed some part to let it fit on the stand and hold the disc.
