The one the only and loved by everyone.. Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro and his friends Chuu-Totoro and Soot.
I'm a big fan of Lego Brickheadz and have a huge collection of them but thought it was time to give back and have a crack at designing my own. I tried to be as faithful to Totoro so at first sight you know who it is. It's probably a little more complex/detail than a standard BrickHead so I've included a couple of buddies to balance out to be a "Premium" BrickHeadz set.
One of the key elements I wanted to include was have an umbrella with Totoro as it's quite iconic. The piece of used is a classic one which I think first came with Fabuland sets. I still have a few and I noticed my kids use them in their builds often so thought it would be nice to bring it back. I settled on green for it to just add some colour but might be nice for something different that if release it's a random colour for a bit of fun!
I've included the design Journey for Totoro which might help other budding BrickHeadz builders work through their ideas from the basic to adding detail.
Their is only one customised brick which is the nose for Chuu-Totoro (Blue) which is 1x2 with a decal for the nose.
It's been really enjoyable using the new pieces and methods as I'm from the 80's lego generation and looove the design tools!!
As this is my first attempt with some further ideas already in the pipeline looking forward to some feedback!
