“A wise bear always keeps a marmalade sandwich in his hat in case of emergency.”

All the way from Peru comes Paddington Bear, a brick built display model of the famous bear complete with his adorable duffle coat and big red hat.

I have been a fan of Paddington since I was a child and thought he would make a brilliant LEGO build especially with the bright LEGO bricks matching Paddington's colours so well. I tried to capture his cheeky smile (using the good old hot dog piece) and gave him plenty of marmalade sandwiches to keep him going in tricky, sticky times (there's even one hidden under his hat - just for emergencies you understand).

His accident-prone nature is represented by the spilled marmalade and his positive spirit and jungle home is symbolized by the small flower beginning to grow through the crack in the pavement.

He has moveable arms for posing, the suitcase closes and shuts, and the build features a London pavement base. A unique display build, perfect for fans of the books, animated series or films (or all three), and Paddington would look splendid next to the telephone box or London skyline.

Features:
  • Poseable arms
  • Yummy Jar of Marmalade
  • Suitcase opens to reveal 'essential' marmalade sandwiches
  • Under Paddington's hat is hidden a secret marmalade sandwich (for emergencies)
  • London Pavement base
