Paddington

This idea is based on everyone's favourite marmalade-loving bear, Paddington. First appearing in 1958, Paddington is an iconic and treasured character, known around the world for his appearances in books, films and television series. This model is inspired by the character's appearance in the beloved 2014 Paddington film and its sequels.

The design features a large brick-built model of Paddington, dressed in his iconic red hat and blue duffel coat. He is equipped with his trusty suitcase and (of course) a marmalade sandwich. The suitcase contains jars of marmalade, one of which is nearly empty. Plus, the top of Paddington's hat can be removed, revealing the spare marmalade sandwich kept inside for emergencies!

Paddington's hat can also be swapped entirely with another sub-assembly, which adds the top of Paddington's head and his ears. The hat can then be placed on top of the suitcase. Meanwhile, the model includes rotating neck, shoulder and elbow joints, allowing Paddington to be displayed in a variety of poses.

Paddington stands on a display base depicting a section of Windsor Gardens: the London street where he lives with the Brown family. The base includes models of a Victorian-style lamppost, an iron fence adorned with ivy, and two pigeons. Will Paddington share his sandwich with the pigeons, or keep it for himself? That is for you to decide!

I have been a fan of the Paddington films since they began, and think they would be perfect as the subject for a LEGO set, with their charm, humour and popularity with fans of all ages.
