This lego great ball contraption (GBC) miniloop uses a Cardan mechanism to lift the marbles up, after that they role down the strings and back to the start again. I built it because I wanted it to be easier for to get into building GBC miniloops, as it can be quite hard to build your first one by yourself. It is very reliable and can be powered by a motor or a hand crank. You can each it running here:
