SpaceX Falcon 9

Based on logos, photos and the AXM paper model, 'teamfatkid' has assembled an awesome set of decals for the LEGO Falcon9 and payloads. Download and printing instructions can be found here.

The autonomous spaceport drone ship weighs 1.085 Kgs and has 909 parts.

A large 'X' from the SpaceX logo is painted at the center of the landing area of the autonomous drone ships.

The drone ships fly both American and SpaceX flags.

The drone ships are fitted with GPS receivers to help maintain a precise landing position. Real Time Kinematic GPS receivers can be accurate to within 2cm. 

SpaceX operate two autonomous spaceport drone ships. The home port for 'Of Course I Still Love You' is at Port Canaveral, while 'Just Read the Instructions' is at home in the Port of Los Angeles.

After some great feedback from a few people who have successfully built their own Falcon9 models, a new version (mk3) has been release here.

It features:

• Stable Dragon2 fins (the old ones could become unaligned).
• Better mounts for the stage 1 merlin engines. They are now much less likely to fall out.
• A long 32M cross axle added as a spine to reinforce the core of the first stage.
