Throughout the last 90 years, many of the most popular cartoon characters ever made have come to life in the form of massive helium balloons, some six stories tall, seen every year in the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. But some may ask, is there a truly famous and iconic balloon made my Macy's itself? That's where the Happy Dragon comes in.
Since his debut in high-flying fashion in 1960, this friendly critter entertained millions of kids in twenty-four parades and eventually was retired, with a new Happy Dragon flying in his honor. And now, he can entertain even more in the form of a LEGO set.
The balloon measured 72 feet long and was 20 feet high. While this set is nowhere near that big, at 1,600 pieces, it's still a hefty build.
