THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!
I always wanted to hold in my hand a Dragon Ball, the Hoi-Poi Capsules and the Dragon Radar.
That's why I built them with Lego, at real life scale!
The rest of the set was designed to showcase these objects and I wanted it to be beautiful, fun to build and full of imagery from the series and manga.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
For this set, I focused above all on the first chapters of the Dragon Ball saga, precisely because they have remained in my heart, more than all the others.
I am a huge fan of Master Akira Toriyama and his works: my main goal was to pay homage to him. Dragon Ball was the first manga I read at 14! Then as now, the pages of Dragon Ball were a whirlwind of emotions and incredible adventures.
I thought that the best way to collect these objects was to recreate the setting of the mountain village where Goku grew up and where the whole story of Dragon Ball began. In the tiny house of his grandfather Son Gohan.
DRAGON BALL MEMORABILIA:
The Dragon Radar: fast and fun to build, it can be easily stored inside the set, with a simple attachment on the back.
The 4-Star Dragon Ball: the sphere with 4 stars given to Goku by his grandpa. In the small niche, which allows it to be displayed in a higher position, there is a small Easter egg linked to the future of little Goku: one of the symbols that will appear on his fighting suit.
The Hoi-Poi Capsules: that would have come in handy on many occasions! The Capsule box gave me the opportunity to go and look for the vehicles used in the world of Dragon Ball one by one and associate them, where possible, with their serial number on the capsules. Since I don't know how this technology works yet, I limited myself to the closed capsules. LOL
The capsule of Oolong's camper is a poetic license since I didn't find the number, but the name of the pig stands out on the van.
TORI-BOT EASTER-EGG
I hope it's fun for you to discover so many small details and Easter eggs scattered here and there, including a hidden tribute to the author, Master Akira Toriyama, with a special minifigure of his alter ego, Tori-bot.

THANKS TO MASTER TORIYAMA
I started this Ideas project when Toriyama passed away, driven by the emotion of his memory and his art, which gave me so much. This is my modest and small tribute to Akira and his most famous work.

Thank you Akira! Forever a fan of yours.
