Launched on December 25, 2021, Nasa's James Webb Telescope (JWST) is an infrared observatory orbiting the sun. It is used to find the first galaxies that formed in the early universe and also is used to see stars forming planetary systems. On January 8, 2022, the JWST team deployed the primary mirror, the iconic gold hexagon shaped plates. The JWST took about 20 years to complete and is the biggest and most powerful space telescope to date. The build contains 456 pieces. I worked really hard to get all of the details and proportions correct.
