Wowers! More than 3500 supporters! We count already 3537! THANK YOU!!! 🙏🥳

I am really overwhelmed by all the nice feedback and grand support I got for The Fountain Place! I am very grateful and pleased - THANK YOU all so much for believing in this project!

But now it's time to show you a few more details of the build! I was already often asked about the shop window canopies. Frankly, they are from the techniques persepective nothing special. They just appear nice. 😂

All my canopies are installed on protruding plates, which are easily integrated in the wall construction. The biggest one uses following parts:
  • Plate 2 x 4, #3020, in light aqua for fixation
  • Wedge 8 x 3 x 2 Open Left, #41750, in bright light blue
  • Wedge 8 x 3 x 2 Open Right, #41749, in bright light blue
  • Wedge 5 x 2 Left,#3504, in bright light blue (suggested colour, doesn't exist yet)
  • Wedge 5 x 2 Right, #3505, in bright light blue (suggested colour, doesn't exist yet)
  • Bracket 1 x 1 - 1 x 1, #36841, in bright light blue

As a little extra bonus, here are a few more perspectives focused on the basefloor and it's canopies:

I hope you like my MOC. If so, I would be happy to receive a comment on the MOC or just on the update and of course for additional supporters. Please also share the support link if you want to see succeeding it. At the moment, the support numbers a day have already dropped significantly and even my own advertising on social media is hardly having any effect anymore. I am therefore grateful for any help. It would be nice if we could at least get to 5k. Please continue to believe in my project! Thank you very much!

I hope you enjoyed the update. The next update will be with 4000 or at the latest 4500 supporters. Depending on progress and time. I hope for your understanding!

In the meantime, I would be very grateful if you could check out the LEGO Ideas posts from some of my LEGO friends. Your support is very much appreciated and feel free to leave a comment under the entries by: @Monsieur Greenhorn, @tsiliegirl, @Julientheclownofthebrick, @CUBETTARO@srionnet ... just to mention a few of them! Thx in advance!

So cool! More than 2000 (2009) supporters for The Fountain Place! 🙏

A huge THANK YOU to all supporters who made this success possible! I have to say it again and again, I am very grateful about the progress of my work! Thx a lot to all of you!

As a small tribute to you, I wanted to show you what The Potted Brick has to offer. The few things that await you inside are summarized in a few pictures:

A statue of an angle decorates the back wall of the shop, which itself is decorated with a few ornaments and beautiful climbing plants.

There are two sales tables with numerous potted plants, as well as a small table with a lavender, a single larger palm tree, the checkout area where a decorative apple can be found, and two wall boards with numerous stone figures for garden decoration.

I hope you enjoyed the update. The next update will be with 2500 or at the latest 3000 supporters. Depending on progress and time. I hope for your understanding!

Insane! 😛 1506 supporters! Time for the next update!

I'm very grateful for the support I've already received! Of course, there's still a long way to go if the goal is 10,000 votes! But considering we have 564 days left and the option to extend for another 182 days, the chances are pretty good!

For all those interested in statistics and numbers:: https://ideas-tracker.com/project?id=1592070

As a small thank you, this time I thought about showing you the "Potted Brick" delivery van included in the set a little more closely - and pictures say more than 1000 words:

1100 SUPPORTERS, 572 DAYS LEFT AND THIS CREATION WAS FEATURED (STAFF PICK)!

I am very thankful about the staff pick! Thank you to the LEGO team and thank you to all of the supporters which have brought my build so far.

Impressively, it's the second staff pick in 3 days. La Belle Ruelle was already featured on 13th July, and now The Fountain Place on 15th. This is more than just amazing and resulted in the current ranking of place 3 and 4 on LEGO Ideas for my builds! I can hardly believe it myself! Just the two amazing builds by my idol @Baron von Barron Summit Station (featured on 14th July) and River Rapids Ride (featured on 11th June) are ranked prior my build (place 1 and 2). It is a huge honor for me that my creations can be ranked alongside such masterpieces!

Additionally, my newest creation Technical Museum - Exhibition "History of the Automobile" was mentioned in the todays weekly newlsetter as Editor's Top 5 Product Ideas Under 100 Supporters! All these greate things resulted in a supporter boom! I can't believe my luck!

THANK YOU ALL who made this possible! I am very grateful and and I just hope that this effect lasts a little longer! 😁

Have fun! 🥳

Awesome Possum! 1012 SUPPORTERS! We cracked the 2nd milestone, what means ...

... I have to introduce the next awesome character in my build: @tsiliegirl

Tsiliegirl is represented by a customizes minifigure, which is created out of
  • part #3626cpb2901 for the head
  • part #20596 in magenta for the hair (this hair part has a little pinhole for optional headgear)
  • part #973pb0567 for the torso
  • part #981/983 each in yellow for the arms and hands
  • part #970c00pb1141 for the legs (originally used for the "Red Son" in 3 configurations: mk006, mk012 and mk0057)

She is an active creator and fan designer here on LEGO Ideas with several entries, where she focusses on Activities and Challenges -but I think I can give a spoiler: her first idea post will be published in the near future! So stay tuned for being one of her first supporters! 😊

Successes so far (just to mention a few of them):
  • STEAMPUNK NECKLACE: One of her most beautiful Activity entries was already pretty often liked by the community and can be seen in her incredible profile image!
  • COME OUT AND PLAY!: Is a well like masterpiece, which shows how beautifully brick seperators can be used.
  • DOUBLE BOX: This was her contribution to the Build the Gift of Purchase Set of your Dreams challenge. This creation was very popular throughout the challenge and received many comments!
  • MY LEGO FAMILY: Is showing her LEGO friends hear on Ideas and was highlighted by LEGO in social media as one of the best entries to the Build with Pride Activity!
  • CORNICHON: Is a very popular contribution to the current Pets in Play challenge - and I still hope it will be rewarded as winner or at least as Runner Up!

Update 17th July 2024:
  • REBUILDABLE NECKLACE WITH JEWELRY BOX: Tsiliegirl's first Ideas entry is online ... and I am thrilled! It's amazing! Such a wonderful, breathtaking creation which would make an incredibly beautiful LEGO Ideas set! I wish her much success and best of luck! 🍀 Please support this masterpiece!

Tsiliegirl is to see as customer in the flower shop "The potted Brick".

Tsiliegirl is a very supportive member in the LEGO Ideas community and she helps wherever she can. She gave me a lot of input and great advices for creation of this building! She helped me with colour decisions, gave input to the fountain and many more things. Her contribution and her tips on this, influenced positivly the final appearance and were therefore decisive for the success of this creation! So I am really grateful for her help and patience with me! 😊

If you'll find time, check out tsiliegirls creations and comment and/or like them, if you want. And be attentive so as not to miss her Ideas submission! I would appreciate it! Thx in advance!

I hope you enjoyed the update. The next update will follow when reached 1500 supporters. Until then,

HAVE FUN! 🤡

Incredible! 812 Supporters! Time to introduce the 2nd main character of the build!

The second one is #drum-roll# @Skwiggle 🥳

Skwiggle is represented by a customizes minifigure, which is created out of
  • part #11303 for the headgear (cap)
  • part #3626cpb0267 for the head
  • part #973pb0413 for the torso (admittedly in dark blue, which is not available yet)
  • part #981/983 in dark blue for the arms as well as #983 in yellow for the hands
  • part #970cc00 in black for the legs

Skwiggle is a professional and passionate school photgrapher in real life, , which is usually evident in his buildings (see below his Photo Finish).

He has not yet submitted an Ideas entry, but is very happy to support others and takes part in the activities and sometimes in the challenges. His latest entries are pretty cool and I love them much: It's almost there displays a vantage point that only photographers can truly appreciate, and Amusement Park Playdate, which shows a few familiar faces. 😁

The photo studio, which is located on the upper floor of the building is dedicated solely to Skwiggle. @tsiliegirl originally gave me the idea to set up a photo studio, but Skwiggle finally named it
"Stone's Throw Photography". I designed the logo, which is to find on the room door, includes Skwiggle's minifigure face and is literally based on the name itself, as it is meant to symbolize a critical mindset.

He has a lot of sense of humor and has a few words of wisdom to share. Sometimes, however, he confuses me as a non-native speaker by using funny American phrases that Google can't translate. 😂🤣😂🤣

You can see him in my creation, trying out his new camera at the fountain that actually gives the creation its name.

When Skwiggle isn't bussy with photographing or LEGO, then of course he edits his photos on the computer - here are a few impressions:

If you'll find time, check out Skwiggles creations and comment and/or like them, if you want. I would appreciate it! Thx in advance!

I hope you enjoyed the update. The next character will be introduced with around 1000 supporters. Until then,

HAVE FUN! 🤡

AMAZING! 500 Supporters! Time to introduce the 1st main character of the build!

First of all I want to introduce Julien (julientheclownofthebrick)

Julien is represented by a customizes minifigure, which is created out of
  • part #3626cpb2581 for the head
  • part #21269 in yellowish green for the hair
  • part #27151 in red for the bow tie
  • part #973pb0547 for the torso
  • part #981/983 in red for the arms as well as #983 in white for the hands
  • part #970cc00 in dark gree for the legs

He is an active creator and fan designer here on LEGO Ideas with several entries, where he is dedicated to the topic of clowns and likes to make people laugh. 🤡

Successes so far:

His LEGO Ideas entries are created with a lot of fun, passion and dedication ... and with an addiction to the colours red and yellow. 😂😜 Take a look (his profile page) on your own and push his creations to the next milestone! 😁

He also shows the same passion in his incredibly funny stop-motion films, which can be admired in the numerous and well-executed updates of his creations. You can also admire them on his YouTube channel. Don't forget to subscribe! 😊

In my creation he distributes leaflets for the next circus performance, in which he will of course appear in a clown car and play the main role. He hands over a leaflet to Granny, while he is keeping a second one in his other hand. Jack stands next to both.

This is of course a funny but sweet allusion to his passion for clown cars.

And even though he creates some incredibly fantastic clown cars himself, I'm very proud that he used one of my own for the show - but probably just to avoid seeing me cry.

If you'll find time, check out Juliens creations and support them, if you want. I would appreciate it! Thx in advance!

I hope you enjoyed the update. The next character will be introduced with around 750 supporters. Until then,

HAVE FUN! 🤡

AWESOME! 346 SUPPORTER AFTER THE 1st WEEK! HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL SUPPORTERS!

Now its time to tell a bit more about the minifigs in the build! Most of you have already noticed, that Granny and Jack will always play a main role in most of my builds. I love to continue the story about my both main characters. You know already Granny's little House as well as The ol' Jack from my entries here on LEGO Ideas.

In this creation you can see the two strolling along the sidewalk and meeting a funny clown who is handing out flyers for a circus show. But what is a clown doing in this creation? Of course, you could now raise the counter argument, what not? 😁🤡 But I want to tell you a bit more about all the other main characters beside Granny and Jack.

My intention was to make this creation special here on LEGO Ideas! So I thought about LEGO Ideas itself and what makes this site so great! The community, of course! And I've already found some LEGO friends here! For this reason, it was obvious to me that my friends had to find a place in my creation.

Unfortunatelly, I had to split the original build into two build, this one and "The Old Town Arch", which is why I also had to divide this awesome team:

So, you'll find all of them as following in my two latest creations:

The Fountain Place (this one): @Julientheclownofthebrick, @tsiliegirl, @the invisible brick and @Skwiggle

I will introduce you to the group soon! Watch out for the next update(s)! 😁 And maybe you'll see somewhen Skwiggle's face without a camera in front of it! 😂🤣

To be continued ...

Have fun!

Awesome! 135 supporter after 32 hours! Huge THANK YOU to all supporters!

As a small thank you, I want to tell you a little about the history of this creation, as well as an explanation why "The Old Town Arch" was released almost at the same time.

Frankly, both creations were originally set up as one combined creation. Unfortunatelly, the model became to big (Ideas submission are restricted to a maximum of 3000 parts). The final version counted more than 4800 parts and looked like this:

The very first thought were in fact to create an angled entrance without any gap. This was the basic idea for the creation of "The potted Brick" (below a picture of the beginning - the first ideas were already realized).

It was very fast clear to me, that I want to design a flower shop. And I knew already, that the creation should be place on a 32 x 32 plus a 32 x 16 baseplate with a second building together (This changed after dividing the original setting). But the place should be something special. This gave rise to the idea for the fountain. Anyway, the fountain could not be too big. So I design a small, but visually apealling fountain with Armor the Angel of Love in it's center.

The rest almost happened on its own, with the help of a few LEGO friends. But that's another story... [to be continued]
