The story this work tells!

Welcome at La belle ruelle!
„La belle ruelle“ is the lovely name the town dweller gave to this place. Here you will find the town's most famous hairdresser and a very old and noble perfumery called „Brick Scent“, which has a range of products from the most noble and oldest vintage perfumes to very modern scents. Many people enjoy strolling through this beautiful alley and stopping by the perfumery or treating themselves to a new hairstyle at “Hair Style”.

The flair of this place is unique and reminds on better days. Granny has just arrived here and is about to go to the hairdresser to get her hair rejuvenated. Monsineur Greenhorn is already waiting inside to get his turn, and enjoys in the meantime a captivating book. The hairdresser is busy doing the hair of a city legend, whom everyone affectionately calls "Invisible" (this has to do with his art).

The perfumery is also well attended. Although, the famous and popular clown Julien is just riding past on his bicycle, two customers willing to buy are already in the store. Günther looks around with interest, while Tsiliegirl gets advice from the competent saleswoman, who is also trained as a perfumer. Intoxicated by all the wonderful scents, they are immersed in a world of infinite beauty. Both will definitely find the best fragrance that suits individually to each of them!

On the upper floor is the hairdresser's modest apartment, which is accessed via a terrace to which the medieval-looking staircase in the middle leads. The apartment contains a small kitchen which opens into the living room as well as a toilet, a bath room and separated by a room divider is a bed (let's call it sleeping room). Skwiggle, the local photographer and owner of Stone's Throw Photography (it's just a few blocks away) is currently taking advantage of the great view from the patio to take some cool photos of the town. He does this on behalf of the city's tourism association, which has ordered new postcards for the Info Point.

It's of course a nice day in Lego town and really joyful at „La belle ruelle“.

Why did I build it?

Since I love to create modular buildings, I couldn't wait after submitting my last projects to start with a new one. After all, I already had numerous ideas in mind! Actually, it all started with the idea of creating a double building that would house at least one hairdressing salon. I also had some ideas in mind about the furnishings of the hairdressing salon and the general shape of the building. One of my first thoughts was to design the bay window with wood paneling and ornamentation. The medieval-looking staircase in the middle was perfect for separating the two sides of the building and making the upper floor accessible. When I created the right side of the building with the smaller, elongated shop, I actually had no clue what would finally be housed there. I ultimately got the idea for the perfumery from my wife, which I liked immediatelly! In contrast, it was very quickly clear to me that the hairdresser's apartment must be upstairs.
Unfortunately I had to skip the idea of additional vehicles, just to stay within the part limit. It was definitely very close again, but I am very happy with the final result!
The creation was a lot of fun to me! I hope you can see all the passion and fun which have been incorporated into this creation! If so, I would be delighted to receive your support and a comment!

Why I believe it would make a great LEGO set?
In fact, I think, that this creation would be a beautiful addition to any LEGO collection of modular buildings! It can be connected to other buildings via linker parts and Technic bricks on the right possitions. The set uses a few advanced building techniques and it would be pure fun to build it. In addition, I like the idea to add a hairdresser and a perfumery to any LEGO town. Additionally, the set comes with a few cool minifigs. In my opinion, such vintage buildings are always an asset to any collection, no matter how good it is! I hope you see it the same way!

So, don't miss to support!

Give me the chance to return easily the favor and leave therefore a comment!

Thx a lot!

Have fun!
