What is it? A walking machine. It walks, powered by a motor on its back. It is cable-driven, as it is not strong enough to carry its battery pack. However, it can be given a push cart for the batteries, and then it can walk remote-controlled.
Why did I build it? I have always been fascinated by the motion of walking. I was quite delighted when the machine actually achieved locomotion.
Why would people like it? If others share my fascination, they might enjoy seeing it realised in such a compact form, and with just a modest number of standard pieces. There are of course ample possibility for decorating it in various ways, but I like the current raw aesthetics, stemming directly from its function.
