The Haunted Mansion: 50th Anniversary

Wow. I didn’t really think we would get here, let alone this fast. Honestly folks, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. This would not be possible with out all of you working to make this happen. I can’t say what the future will bring for this project, but I will remain hopeful and I hope you will too, and stay tuned for my next Disney Parks project I have in the works.

Wow! I can't believe we are now over 60% of the way through our journey. Thank you so much to all of your support and those out there sharing the project. Keep it up, folks!

At this point I would like to make some exciting plans known. If my project is lucky enough to be chosen to enter production, I plan on taking a few copies of the set, signing them and putting them up for auction. The proceeds of this will be donated directly to the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity that has always been very close to my heart and whose mission I feel is very in line with the Lego and Disney brand. It's my hope that through this project we can all help to make an impact for good in the lives of others.

Everybody needs a buggy now and then… I cannot thank you all enough for their votes this weekend bringing us to over 2500 SUPPORTERS on our project. Please keep spreading the word and doing what you do best, you are all amazing! In celebration, I am submitting this Doombuggy concept (minifigure not included) for consideration as an addition to the Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary set but feel free to take a look at it and see if you can build it for yourself, and send me a picture!

Also, I've been getting asked here and there, "Why are you making Orlando's version? The version in California is the one turning 50 this year!" You are all totally correct. I attempted the Disneyland version a couple years ago and unfortunately, it didn’t meet the supporter deadline. As you may know, the process for gathering votes and being reviewed by Lego can take 1-2 years meaning that this would ideally be able to be approved by 2021, Orlando’s 50th, so thats the rationale behind the choices made.
