The game snakes and ladders has been played for thousands of years and is a staple boardgame in everyone's childhood. What's even better is that it is based on sheer luck meaning everyone has an equal chance of winning.

So as a tribute to the classic children's game, I present to you the ultimate Snakes and Ladders game in 3D. With just under 3000 pieces, I have recreated the iconic boardgame in Lego with a 3D layout and comes with 8 unique minifigures as play pieces. And to top it all off, each space is like a mini adventure for your minifigure to explore and have fun.

How to Play:
The game has the same rules as a regular game of Snakes & Ladders (if you land on a ladder you go up, if you land on a snake you go down, and the winner is the first person to reach the 100th square. However there are a few differences.

First is that instead of giant snakes and ladders all across the board, there are spaces that have a little cabinet that when opened will reveal either a snake or a ladder along with the number of the square the play must move to. This adds a little more suspense to the game because the player will not know what space they landed.

Second, because part of the fun of the game is to climb up the ladder or slide down the snake with your piece; I instead implemented a roller coaster track that the players minifigure pieces can ride in order to move up or down the board.

Square Themes:
Another design choice that I added to the the game was having each square that did not have a snake/ladder, its own set and theme for the minifigures to interact with. The reason for this is because I want this game to be like a mini adventure for the players minifigure piece as not only a way to expand on the playability of the boardgame but to also highlight the journey the minifigures themselves are taking to reach the top.
