The Aquarium

I believe there is a big market out there for aquatic themed LEGO sets geared towards adults. So many people love visiting aquariums and keeping fish tanks as a hobby, but it can be a lot of work. What better way to enjoy 1marine life than with an official LEGO aquarium building?

This set is 2592 pieces and features a fun family activity! There are so many molds available now for aquarium animals that a real set could have a fantastic variety of fun exhibits. Here is how the building breaks down:

Exterior:
A small courtyard with a fountain - featuring Poseidon (from Greek Mythology).
There are 3 trees that make use of the new round plate with bent bar mold (recolored in green).
Sidewalks lead up to the front door of the aquarium.

First floor:
River otter exhibit with a leafy river based habitat! (Includes a red ball for otter enrichment activities)
Penguins! Everyone loves Penguins! Along with their snow filled habitat
Two small trees
In the back corner you find the stairway, and you get a peek behind the scenes as the staff prepare restaurant quality food for the animals

Mid level/In between - this building features a hidden "mid level" in between the first and second floor. Aquariums have complex systems supporting the animals. So I built in some piping, filtration for the tanks up top, and ventilation for the exhibits on the first floor in between the two levels.

Second floor -
The big tank, the "Marine Adventure" tank featuring multiple species of fish and coral.
A kid favorite, the touch pool! Get up close to your favorite aquatic wildlife!
Finally, a butterfly garden, which is a favorite feature of my local aquarium.

Roof -
Finally a SNOT roof attached using bars inserted into modified bricks
It features a large billboard for the aquarium grand opening. There are two skylights built in and two spotlights focused on the billboard.

There are 8 Minifigs, 2 Aquarium staff, 3 adults, and 3 kids, 2 otters, and 2 penguins
