"That ain't working".
The characters in the "Money for Nothing" music video by Dire Straits are portrayed through the lens of a working-class perspective, reflecting the blue-collar ethos of the song's lyrics. The video features animated, stylized characters created using groundbreaking computer graphics for its time, capturing the emerging technology of the 1980s.
With their shapes in the video I have always thought they would make a perfect lego build. It is practically a digitally lego blocks figurine. The exaggerated, cartoonish depictions emphasize the larger-than-life persona of rockstars, highlighting the surreal nature of their fame and fortune.
So here they are. The main animated characters from the "Money for nothing" video by Dire Straits in Lego.
