SpaceShipOne

SpaceShipOne completed the first manned private spaceflight in 2004 by reaching an altitude of 100.12 km (62.21 mi), and later the same year won the Ansari X Prize for being the first non-government organization to twice within two weeks launch a reusable manned spacecraft.

I built SpaceShipOne because it's an important part of modern space history, and it's a cool looking spacecraft. It's also inspirational when people do things that seem impossible. Manned spaceflight was no longer something only reserved for large government-funded organizations. The LEGO model comes with a stand where the spacecraft is tilted upwards as if it was in a climb into space.
