This 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive is inspired by the Peanuts Halloween Ready-to-Run Lionel Train Set that I got for sale last year. Originally, I was going to build this as a train set. However, the steam locomotive is so big that I decided to make this its own project. The project first started coming together on August 15th, and then almost complete the next day. Today, I completed it.

The 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive project is 757 pieces. Inside the locomotive's cab are two seats, a firebox with an opening hatch, a holder for the shovel, and some pressure gauges with valves. If the cab roof is removed, a part of the boiler can also be removed. The middle four wheels can also be removed.

The tender has opening doors to give the fireman access to the coal. The coal portion can be removed as well. These three latter elements can be removed because they act as dummy models of Power Functions elements. That's right! A Train Motor, an IR Receiver, and a Battery Box do the trick. If you do not have one, you should probably get an IR Remote Control as well.

Thanks for viewing this project! Please, feel free to give your opinion of this project in the comments. Have a good day, everyone! Project built by Joseph cheeseinthepie. 8/18/2018
