Giant Squid

The giant squid (Archyteuthis Dux) was, until the collosal squid (Mesonychoteuthis Hamiltoni) was discovered, the biggest squid. In fact, the Dux part of its scientific name means "first in its class". The Archyteuthis in this set is a little bigger than minifigure scale, and is built mor like a model of one than on in its natural environment. Therefore, it has a wood looking base with gold details, plus a gold nameplate. All the arms are posable, and the squid can also be removed from the stand. I built this set just for fun, but I think it would make a great set because it is well known.
