Retrobot!!
Inspired by a 1x4 red brick with silver grill decoration, the result is this this humanoid: the Retrobot (a play on words which is fairly self-explanatory). The red and silver color scheme, combined with the squared off head gives it a fairly old-fashioned appearance:

Another semi-iconic minifig accessory is the round-bladed sword from the knights line, which I decided I would build in "macro-fig" scale!

Sorting, sorting, forever sorting x-(
Just dropped off of the the "Staff Picks" list, so it's back to the good ol' days :-( On a slightly better note, I recently decided that I needed to sort my Lego (which consists of 2 giant mounds of a miscellaneous mire), so my sister and I dumped my ENTIRE Lego collection on my bedroom floor, and got to work. 3 days later, and 1 million peices later, we still have a fairly tedious task ahead of us! Here is a picture, taken during the process:
