Alcázar - Patio de los Naranjos (Castle - Orange Courtyard)
Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
An Alcázar is a type of Moorish castle or palace built in Spain and Portugal built during Muslim rule. This build takes its inspiration from the Reales Alcázares de Sevilla or Royal Alcazars of Seville. The palace is renowned as one of the most beautiful in Spain, being regarded as one of the most outstanding examples of Mudéjar architecture found on the Iberian Peninsula. With a total brick count of 1755 including a minifig, the build focused on just the courtyard, the courtyard facade and the orange trees.
Design wise, tried to imitate the wall tracery as found in the original structure without making the build too difficult to make. Aim here is to make the structure light and airy. As this is entitled the Orange Courtyard decided to just color the orange tree while the rest of the build is all white.
This is my 46th build, and hopefully more to come. As with my previous sets this build is fully playable. If you like this model please do share and support this build through your friends and your social network.
Your opinions, suggestions and comments are most welcome.
Thank You and Happy Building :)
