Motorized Spinning Wheel

When my LEGO passion meets my wife's hobby (wool spinning) I make this full functional double drive spinning wheel with LEGO Technic.

In this construction, the biggest difficulty is to have the flyer and the bobine on the same axis and turning in the same direction with difrent speed here the ratios are (1 : 2.3, 1 : 3.5, 1 : 8.4 and 1 : 12.7). The flyer twist fibers to make the thread while the bobine drives the thread.

Some of my wife's friends say that this spinning wheel might be a good tool to learn children or adults how to spin wool.
