This is a miniature scale model of Minas Tirith, the City of the King, and the capital of the Kingdom of Gondor, from J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy epic, The Lord of the Rings. The model features the White Tower of Ecthelion, the Pelennor Fields surrounding the city (the location of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields), the river Anduin, and the snow capped mountain Mindolluin towering behind the city.

I built this for fun as an ode to Tolkien's wonderful stories. It would make a great LEGO set as it bridges high fantasy, storytelling, and architecture, three areas that LEGO has wonderfully ventured into. It would be a special treat for Lord of the Rings fans and LEGO Architechture fans. It could be used as bookend on a bookshelf, a display piece, or a play piece.

I also hope that the set would stir the imagination and inspire other miniature architecture builds from Lord of the Rings and other fantasy series. It would be excellent for the set to contain many extra bricks (in white and silver) so that builders and enthusiasts could experiment with changes to the city, surroundings, and even perhaps rebuilding the city of Osgiliath, located on the river Anduin.

I have added 4 mini-figures: Gandalf, Aragorn, Frodo and a Gondor Guard of the Citadel, to cap it off as a collectors piece, set on designed display stands. These characters capture some of the heroism of the Lord or the Rings.

~480 pieces total.

I hope that you enjoy this build!
