Emd Sw1500

This is a model of an EMDsw 1500, a shunter.

It is one of my favorite engines.

many of them are still in service today.

I've studied models, and images to include as many details as possible.

I tried to install a motor in it, but theres just not enough space for the battery,

so ive designed a hopper car to hold the power functions

If you still uses the discontinued 9v train system it would be as simple as replaceing one of the trucks with a 9v train motor.

this model uses the old train magnets to achieve more detail ,but im not sure if that will work in the final set as they are discontinued.

This model can be built in many colors, however red is the color ive chosen to build it in.
