Some Background:
Hey everyone! I'm super excited to share with you all my first Lego Ideas project: the Swordfish II from the the hit animated series Cowboy Bebop! For those of you who aren't familiar with the show, Cowboy Bebop is a Japanese animated series following the adventures of a group inter-galactic bounty hunters as they travel the solar system in their ship "The Bebop". The show first aired in 1998, and it's been watched countless times by millions of people across the world since then. It even got its own theatrical movie in 2001!
The Model:
The Swordfish II is a modified racing ship built in the year 2061 and owned by Spike Spiegel, one of the show's main characters. It's undeniably one of the most iconic things from the show, so I figured it would be a natural fit for a Lego set. The ship contains a comple cockpit big enough for one minifigure, and it can freely detach from its display stand for easy play. My model comes with four minifigures; Jet Black, Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, and the one and only Radical Edward. I've also included a figure for Ein based off the existing wiener dog piece. Between the ship, stand, and figures, the whole set clocks in at almost 300 pieces.
Thanks so much for checking out my submission! I put a lot of hard work into this model, and I hope you'll consider supporting!
See you space cowboy...
