This is the Boeing 747, aka the jumbo jet. The 747 has a distinctive upper deck/hump at the front of the plane. The upper deck is the first-class seating and lounge. The 747's cruising speed is up to 570 mph, and the plane can accommodate up to 660 passengers.
The model has four engines and non-retractable landing gear. The project is approximately 1800 pieces and is not minifig scale.
I tried several much larger designs for the plane and had vaguely considered making it minifig scale but soon realized that it would have been much too big. I also tried as much as possible to not have any studs showing on the plane so as to make it as smooth as possible. I have always been fascinated by the Boeing 747 since I was young, which is why I decided to build it.
