Labyrinth Marble Maze

LEGO Ideas #013 Labyrinth Marble Maze

We’re very excited to release JKBrickworks' Labyrinth Marble Maze as our next LEGO Ideas set! The final design, pricing and release date are still being worked out. For more information, see the LEGO Ideas Blog.

Congratulations on 10,000 supporters, JKBrickworks!

Dear JKBrickworks

Congratulations, what an a-maze-ing journey to 10,000 supporters! This is a fun product idea with a different twist (two different twists, actually), and we like it a lot. We can see this being both a learning experience to assemble, and a ton of fun to play.

We now officially advance this project to the Review phase.

What happens now?

This project moves from the Idea stage to the Review stage. A "LEGO Review Board" composed of designers, product managers, and other key team members will examine the idea. We'll build concept models and determine if the concept meets our high standards for what it takes to be a LEGO product. This includes factors such as playability, safety, and fit with the LEGO brand. Every potential LEGO product goes through a process like this and must meet the same standards.

The LEGO Review Begins in January

This project qualifies for the Third 2014 Review, which includes projects that reach 10,000 supporters between early September and early January. For more information about the LEGO review process, please see the Project Guidelines and House Rules.

The review is a thorough process and from its start, and can take several months. When finished, we make a "go/no go" decision to develop and sell a product based on the Labyrinth Marble Maze.

When the review is complete, we will inform you of our decision. If green-lit, this project goes into the longest phase of the project; the Development phase. During this time, LEGO model designers refine the product and develop it for release, we create the product materials (box, instructions, marketing), and get everything ready for a production run. This also takes several months.

We will post follow-up information and our decision here.

Congratulations on 5,000+ Supporters!

Dear Touthomme,

Congratulations on reaching the halfway point on LEGO CUUSOO with 5,000 supporters!

Again this is a wonderful project proposal with a lot of play value included. We especially like how you have proposed the model to be customizeable; you can build a base labyrinth and then decorate it the genre of your choice.

Best of luck as you continue the journey to 10,000 supporters!

Congratulatory message from the LEGO Group

Congratulations on all of the supporters! WOW this is an impressive LEGO Labyrinth! It's beautiful and functional, and looks like it would be a blast to play. It's pretty obvious why a project like this is so popular. Great work.

Please understand that this initial green light does not have an effect on the LEGO Review that will take place if the project reaches 10,000 supporters. Until then, we wish you the best of luck on your journey to 10,000 supporters!
