Santos Dumont's 14-bis

Hi all thanks for the support and inputs so far, really appreciate it!

I understand that there are still a lot of prominent figures in aviation that weren’t captured in this set, but I hope this set could kick-off people’s interest to start learning more about them. As much as I wanted to include more figures, I also wanted to make this set as accessible as possible by keeping the parts number low. That’s why I started with 3 figures & airplane that I consider to represent popular aviation milestones in their era. However, considering his contributions and achievements I’ve also built Santos Dumont’s 14-bis to be considered for this set. Check it out:

Total parts (including display stand): 220 pcs

As usual, a brief history:
Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Brazilian aviation pioneer, is one of the very few people to have contributed significantly to the development of both lighter-than-air and heavier-than-air aircraft. In 1906, the 14-bis successfully made the first manned, powered heavier-than-air flight in Europe. His conviction that aviation would usher in an era of worldwide peace and prosperity led him to freely publish his designs and forego patenting his various innovations.

Let me know what you think about it in the comments :)

Cheers,

Taking-off to 1,000 supports!! Thanks a lot everyone!

Thank you so much for the immense supports on this first week! Now that there's 1,000 of you supporting this, I won't let you guys down and will give my best to keep on improving the project.

The main idea of this set is to enable childrens, teenagers, (and adults too :D ) to learn a bit about the history of aviation and be reminded that the technology we may see common today was a big leap for human-kind some time ago. And they can do that while having fun and playing with this set. I hope this will also inspire and increase their interest to pursue the field of science, engineering, or aviation.

If you like this project, let's help to make it real by supporting and telling your friends and families about this project :)

Thanks!
