This is my build of a classic toy, the wooden duck! Inspired by the old wooden pull string animals from earlier generations and more specifically, THE wooden duck, created by LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen. I built the model because I always liked the simplicity of old wood toys, and being that LEGO began with this type of thing before moving to the bricks we now and love today, it felt like a good fit to pay homage to the company and recreate one of their original and most popular toys of old in their current brick building system.
This model includes rolling wheels and a beak that can be opened and closed. I believe this little wheeled duck would make a great set for everyone because it has playability and a relatively easy build for younger children and makes a neat display piece for older fans.
