Today a long journey comes to an end. More than 2 years ago now, on November 30, 2020 I uploaded my Little Italy project on Ideas. It was originally just a way to pass the time while on vacation in Italy, because I was just bored and didn't know what to do with all that time. Out of that I developed this model, which is meant to recreate the Italian charm of a small back alley in a village. I have to admit that I almost can't believe I've reached this point, as the day I uploaded the project seems like yesterday. It fills me with incredible pride to look back on this time and how far my model has come. Of course, I'm a bit disappointed that it didn't work out so close to the goal and that I had to stop 173 supports before the finish line. But every time I think about it, I imagine a room with 173 people and realize how many people this actually is. And this is also the reason why I consider this day a cheerful one, because even if only 173 votes were missing, 9827 people gave their vote for my project, so many people that I couldn't even imagine them in one room and this makes me incredibly happy, proud and grateful. I would like to say a big thank you to all these people, to all of you. Especially to those who in the last weeks showed me once again that there is still hope, that hope always dies last and helped me with their very generous assistance for the last meters. Thank you.

I would like to say a big thank you to all these people, to all of you. Thank you.

As for the future of this project, I have decided that I will not upload this project again on LEGO Ideas. However, I will not just forget about this project, because this original Ideas idea will be a pilot project for my first contribution to the Bricklink Designer program. I made this decision because the reviews of this model were very positive and many people showed great interest in my creation. To make this project a reality, the entire model will be built from scratch. The basic idea and the general look of the model will remain the same, but newer, more exciting and trickier building techniques will be implemented and more details will be added to the project. Whether I will be finished by the end of February is unfortunately yet unclear but I will try my best and I will keep you updated on my Instagram channel.

Thank you all again so much for the incredible support and I hope you liked my idea.

My name is Brickmax and I was the creator of this Lego set idea.
