Build your own LEGO kimono and have it as a beautiful small display in your shelf!

Previously published as a challenge submission, Girls in Kimonos is composed of two girls in kimonos and traditional Japanese accessories.

Seeing how colorful and diverse kimonos are, I thought it would be great if you could create your own kimonos in LEGO format and display them in your shelf!

The two kimonos pictured are based on cherry blossoms, and Red Cranes and flowers, however the dolls are built so you can replace them and place your own kimono built of your own pieces, so the possibilities are endless!

The display set has many features and details:

  • Switchable hair pieces/ flowers

  •  Swappable kimono’s

  • Fully poseable arms and movable legs

  • Japanese umbrella and hand fan as accessories.

  • Ability for you to replace it with your own kimono of your own pieces!

This has been more challenging than expected, and my first IDEAS project. Even though it was first published as a challenge project I always tried to envision the entry as a real product, with its real-life limitations. It was fun to design and build something that I would want to place in my living room!

Hope it stands a chance and we can get 10,000 supporters, so if you like it, be sure to support this model and share it with your friends and family!
