Human powered helicopter shows the innovation of mankind and the Dream of flight. A human powered helicopter was thought to be impossible and had one of the longest running competitions. The Sikorsky prize started in 1980 and was not claimed until July 2013. Both young and old, inexperienced and experienced aviators, scientists and physicist tried and failed but all contributed to keeping dreams alive. I've been in the aviation industry for over 25 years and building LEGO for 45 so building a Human powered LEGO helicopter seemed a natural fit plus I love building with gears and pulleys.
