"Think Different" ~ Apple, Inc
Presenting the Apple Macintosh from 1984, the first successful computer Apple produced - But in Lego!
This model features a swappable screen, to display different images, including the classic "Hello" text and the Apple loading screen. Additionally the model includes 2 floppy disk cards, one in blue and one in black.
The model also has a mouse and keyboard, which plug into the ports on the computer.
I originally built this model back in the summer of 2021, but I have since updated some aspects of the design to be more functional and playable. I have also added additional screens and floppy disks to customise the look better. The model was originally built using LDD and modified with Mecabricks and rendered in Blender.
The model has a total of 1840 parts.
I think that this would make a great set because it brings a meaningful piece of technology history to Lego. The model is both great as a display piece, but the model also has functions to make it playable, by being able to swap out screens and also pull out the floppy disks too. Additionally, I have implemented a feature that allows you push a Lightsaber brick into the hole by the floppy disk reader, this ejects the floppy disk, just like the original computer!
