Upshifting procedure for 16-speed transmission
If you don't know how to shift through gears in 16-speed manual truck transmission it's worth to check my slideshow Upshifting procedure.
Major difference is that this lego transmission is pure mechanical design while in real manual transmission range-change unit and splitter are preselectively shifted with levers mounted to main shift lever. Otherwise lego shifting goes like in real truck.
But in real trucking you seldom need to use all the gears in acceleration, usually you can skip gears in lower speeds. Typical shifting sequence from stop to full speed on highway is something like 3L-4L-range_change-5L-6L-7L-7H-8L-8H.
