Gingerbread House

This model was inspired by the Victorian age 'Gingerbread Houses' at Oaks Bluff on the USA island of Martha's Vineyard. This is a major tourist attraction and an example of a unique style of architecture.

The grounds surrounding the gingerbread houses were formerly campgrounds for church group retreats. More than 300 such houses were built in the mid-1800s by members of the church community. To see pictures of the actual houses go to http://www.mvcma.org/.

This model sits on a 48x48 base and has 1712bricks.
